e-Hirobo SRB Quark - Lepton - XRB Coaxial > flying diagonally with the XRB instead of forward.

I have a Hirobo XRB sky lama and nomather what I do, it's keeping flying diagonally if I want to fly forward!!. Blade tracking is ok and I adjusted the pitch angle from the upper blades. now the turning rate (rudder) is almost equal left and right. I think my problem is with the "servo neutral position" (page 26 from manual) I have to trim the XRB while hovering and then the servo positions are not straight, is this the reason it is flying "weird".
Did another test: I placed both servo's "straight" as mentioned in the manual and before trimming the heli went forward instead of diagonal.
But hovering trimming is bad, when Icorrect this and its hovering OK then the problem is back. It seems the roll trimming is responsible for this action. I never noticed this behavior before because my last XRB was tethered(with a wire) and with the Sky Robo you can fly around.
As far as I can see it looks like I have to trim the roll action with weight instead of trimming the servo. This is new for me...anybody??

The diagonal left in foward flight is a character trait of the xrb sr. I think probably 99% of them fly this way. I know mine does too

I have read of guys using their futaba 7chp and other programable futabas to program in a little right roll to compensate, but I have'nt tried it

Mine behaves like that after I change batteries (from stock to an aftermarket one). I had to trim the controls on the heli a bit then fine tune the trims on my radio to correct the problem.

Mine is not.

I fly forward, it move straightly forward without any left/right movement.
I trim my heli just follow the manual.

Do you have the sky robo with the lipo battery on the original location??

Hello rickyblaze,
Some guys seem to deal with the problem by mixing in the roll? How do you do that? I have the Robbe FX 18 transmitter.

I have'nt tried it ,but from what I've read it works on a programmable trans. You would have to be able to mix some right into your forward. I would say you'd have to play around a little with it to get the right mix

Have you carefully read the manual at bottom of pag 21 (second caution remark?).

May be it is necessary to trim the pitch adjustment screws.

Yes, I dit CapMax,
What it did is it changed the rotationspeed for the rudder. But no positive effect for flying diagonal! I turned the pitch more negative and towards positive, did change rotation speed however not for 45/ flying.

My XRB off center too! Just a little bit, almost forward, I've got a really small space so it's not to bad.

It is what it is...

Since there is someone capable of flying straight with XRB Lama (alexl), maybe it's possible to set properly the heli.

My Lama shift left during forward stick movement and shift right during backwards movement (about 30°).

Observing blades plane (while hold heli with hand) during only forward stick applied, it appear with rear and right lift... It's peculiar this happen at low throttle value. Exceed 70-80% throttle, blades plane doesn't show lateral oriented lifting.

No channel mixing on my Hitec Laser 4 (not possible).

Any idea to solving with proper mechanical settings?
(else I stop thinking about and correct with aleiron...)

Thanks
Paolo
