Can anyone recommend a fairly inexpensive slow charger for a 2400mah 4-cell nicd?

I only have a hobbico Accu-cycle that goes to a max of 125mah charge rate, and a ace super-smart charge. The smart charge will do it, but I wanna give the battery a nice slow charge..

What charge rate are you looking for? C/10 is considered a slow charge.

Exactly that, C/10 which would be 240mah...

Actually reading now, the ace doesn't officially support 2400mah, says only to 2000mah.. hmm

If you're interested in building one, there was an article in Model Aviation back in 2000. If you're an AMA member you can search the digital archives on-line for the plans. Just search for "Universal Slow Charger". It is capable of doing quite a few cells and up to 500mah. There are even plans for dual output version.

dpatino, I don't know what you consider being low cost, but if the new Orbit POCKETLADER the same programs as the larger units this may fit the bill.
