I am having trouble with the fuel tank fitting! I have cut of the fuel tank mount and disregarded it because I want to fit the scale cockpit detail and as you know if you have built one of these the standard fuel tank placing is not good for this. Anyone have any pics or info on what I can do> I am thinking about installing 2 10oz tanks one either side of the mechanics. Would this be good practise? Or should I go down another line!! I kind of think that the two tank system will work no different than a header tank on a 3d machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel Tank

Had a similar problem with my Bolkow105, Glued some wood strips to the fuse side and used hooks and rubber bands to hold the tank. Am just about to take the mechanics out so if you want a pic just reply.

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply, I have a Bolkow as well and did the same thing no problem. But with the 230 there is virtually no room to do this.

just use the 500ml stunt tank on the right side, plenty of room!

On your Bolkow do you have the tinted or clear windows? I have the tinted windows and have trouble seeing the fuel tank when re-fuelling, do you run a seperate overflow pipe when filling up?

you could do that, usally I see the extra fuel come out the pipe, its never a problem as the pipe is always lower than the motor. I like your idea, but you would have to close it off to maintian pressure when running.
