Can anyone confirm that the Ali swash (HH5006A) as listed on the Helicraft site has any of the issues discussed previously in this forum ito. sticking ball, or separating components still needing sorting out? Im ideally looking for the delrin insert and some way of locking the rings to prevent separation.. and oh yea all for $30 something!

Align sent me an Email saying they made the top and bottom parts of the swash threaded, on all new one's being sold, so they won't be falling apart for sure.

Any stock that came out of Align after January 15th will be fine, before that date it had the design fault.

Some vendors charge more for the new versions. I was told that Align is charging them more for the heli's now. Look at ALLERC for example. They have the new version and old. I bought my heli from them and I found out they had the new kits coming after I placed my order. They said they would charge more for the new kit before they even had it listed, and they did when they got them.











....there goes that CA glue sticking to my fingers again!!!!

Its about a US$10 increase from 450X to V2.

You've got to watch Align for this - I like the T-Rex BUT its a cheap heli, most of its appeal is it price. For a heli that started off at $99 and has now almost *doubled* that, becareful of further price hikes especially with the spares.

Hey Dabkers,
The price hike is expected when thestart to add all these upgrades to the kit itself. it is almost better to keep the kit as is and just sell the upgrade separately, but when people complain about wanting it perfect out the box youhave to expect the price increase.

Still though I would pay the extra $10 not to tinker.

Who is going to make improvements to a product and sell it for less? I disagree that the trex is a "cheap heli". It is affordable but the quality aside from the old swash is just as good or better than the zoom or other comparable helis. It has alot more going for it than merely price, the economy of the kit and parts is just a bonus!
