Park Eflite 400 owners, please chime in and let me know how you like your motor. Do share performance description, flight times, setups, and your satisfactions/dislikes about this motor. I just got one from a friend and have yet to install it. I'm a novice anyway so it won't matter initially.

Respectfully,

Thanx

I did a favor for a friend and he was kind enough to hook me up with this motor. I'm currently awaiting a Lehner but could use this one to hover around until it gets here. I had NO IDEA these motors had a troublesome rep. I had 400DF on the brain so bad that I thought that's what I was getting. I'll just count my blessings and use it until its replacement arrives then it can settle nicely on the shelf for antique purposes.

Respectfully,
Ken

Relearning Motor

Judging by the responses and my search findings, I figure this motor should be fine during my "Relearning" stage (I'm taking it back to RADD due to a 10 month lay-off from R/C). All I'm gonna do for the first few days after setup completion (T-Rex Diet Reform Program) is follow RADD's directions to the tee so I can get this young lady in the air. Once I've become oriented enough to start trying aerobatics, I'll install the Lehner I have on order. Thanx for all of your info.

I have had no problems with mine, have been using it for almost two months now. It has surprisingly good power. I recently geared it up from a 9 tooth to a 10 tooth to get a little more head speed (at about 2350 now). It has a good climb rate, flips well, without much of a drop in head speed. I think for what it is, it works great! I am probably pushing it very hard, but it keeps working and working. It is very consistant in performance. I am running a CC35 and TP2100. I consistantly have flight times of about 12 mins. If it continues to perform as it has, I really don't see a need to change. If performance starts to fall off, or it quits, I will then look to something else. But I do like having the long flight times.

Are you using a heatsink with your motor? I have 4 2s TP 1320 pax that I plan on running 2x2s initially and then 6s once my flying skills progress. I also have 2 3s TP 2100 pax that I can use. I won't be putting much of a load on this motor right off but I do plan on getting a bit aggressive later on.

txkawboi- I am using 2 of the himax heatsinks on mine. It does run pretty hot, not sure of exact temp. After a flight, touching the endbell for a few seconds will get your attention! But it keeps going and going

I had the same problem with mine after 2 flights. It ran really hot and developed a severe wobble causing it to be unusable. I got the motor with the Helihobby set-up, and was fairly dissapointed with it.
