Well the title says it all. Thoughts? Ideas?

I am leaning towards the revmax, or possibly the new revlock. Anyone have any experience with these.

I have been using the new Revmax for the last few gallons and really like it so far. It is very easy to setup and easy to install. It is a rev limiter and not a governor though but works as good if not better.

Not sure about the revlock as I have never used one.

Yeah maybe KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) might be the way to go. Limiter has less in it to go wrong, and I have to set the throttle curves as a backup anyway.

Avant

I have only hovered my Avant in the driveway. But what I can tell you is that it is pitch sensative. What I mean is that the head reacts very quickly to pitch input. Augusto once said something to this effect in another thread.

I have my set up with a GV1, but it disengaged at the moment. I may find that it may not keep up, I will just not use one. I removed it from my EVO 50 and it took about a tank to get the curves right and a bit some tail rotor to throttle mix.

I just ordered the revmax for my Avant since I knew the gv-1 couldn't keep up with the new mods to the Avant.

The GV-1 can keep up with anything. Sorry - but there's now way you'll be able to "max" out a GV-1

they're simple easy to use and effective.

I'd go GV-1

GV-1 doesnt support super servo (digital) mode - i would go ith the Revlock, its easy, cheap and works absolutely great ! and it has a gain feature that no other has.

My 2 cents,

Untill guys are finding out which Rew limiter is better, I'll go to TJpro, at least you know that it is the best governor!

Si, haven't you asked this question before? Go for the RevLock, its cheapest by far and will get the job done at least as well as the TJ Pro on all accounts.

at the end off the day theses two products are exactly the same, a VERY simple electronic device.
same as buying a car( not quite) if you can afford a Lamborghini or Ferrari both are close to the same, all comes down to personal choice and advertising and what it cost
GV-1 has its disadvantages and is over priced .
who needs a lcd display inside ya heli, you ant sitting in there when ya flying it.(and more stuff too trash when you crash)
I build lasers for a living and I make sure I know what my competition is up too and how they are advancing.and im sure this is the same.
it all comes down too who do you trust the most and what back up service they offer.
there are different ways of setting them up and calibrating them.
but in layman terms they are the same.
unless you have two identical helis beside each other with the exact same settings and you can realy fly to the maxxx only then will you be able too, maybe tell the difference if there is any between them at all

Well yes, that about sums it up , NICE ONE MATE
Nice and simple, so even I can understand that :P

Im a proffesional piece of ballast after all, SAR copliots are there to fill a seat, and ballast out the aircraft because the winch is on the other side :P.
