| The version stuff just isn't worth counting guys, there are changes almost daily (and then are some changes are reversed). Some batch of kits have been sold with variations between them; a store can order 25 T-Rexs and get 3 different types of kits! This is one of the reasons why I stopped working with Align, its a dis-organised mess.
I'd prefer to have the 450X, refine it and release a new version, Align would rather have customers test changes (at the customer's expense) and fix the issues as they get complaints. There is next to no in-house testing of changes, the new swash for example, this could have been great but they are going to take 3 goes to get it right like always. Sometimes I'd get parts to test and by the time they got here, they were either already being sold or scrapped.
I told you about this new version about a month ago (search my posts), offcially, its V2 and at the time was meant to include the carbons. Seems that some do and some don't. No idea anymore, that could have changed, dealing with Align is frustrating like you would not believe. They are a good company and want to offer a good heli at a good price, they are just making a few mistakes that could easily be avoided if they would only test their product a little more instead of the "rush it out of the door" attitude.
I'd avoid rushing to get the latest Align stuff, especially the new upgrades that are comming out soon unless you want to be a beta tester at your own expense. The Asian testers seem to just give postive feedback on everything Maybe look at Align stuff like Microsoft software, by version 3 it going to be OK.
Not knocking Align at all - just telling it how I see it and maybe it might stop people feeling hard done by when their latest shinny upgrade doesn't turn out to be an upgrade at all. |
