Hey all,

Is anyone using the Weston Genesis pipe with the Thunder Tiger .36? I have been using the Ace Upgrade muffler and the engine has been superb, once I got the needles sorted out on the test stand... what kind of performance increase/decrease in noise have you seen over the upgrade muffler? I think the Ace is kind of loud... I am using CoolPower 15%, what can I expect in the way of needle setting changes? I would assume main needle somewhat richer?

I hae been advised to use a frame brace with the Weston pipe, because of the stress on the frame from the pipe hanging out there. Specifically, the NHP brace with integral cooling fan shroud extension. Any one using one, and if so where to find one in the US? Any comments?

Frame Brace is a good idea regardless the pipe

I have a Raptor 60 with a Weston Genesis Pipe and I don't run a support on the pipe. I bought a nice metal frame brace from Helihut for 10 bucks on the 60 size and 8 bucks for the 46 size. The sides are L- Shaped and are really strong but it doesn't have the shroud. A buddy made one for my Raptor 46 out of metal, turned out very nice and really keeps the air down on the head where it belongs.

I've read that the frame braces really help prevent a pipe from breaking and will really tighten the ship up and prevent your frames from breaking in most crashes.

I don't think you'll find the Weston to be a very quiet pipe. My 60 is pretty loud with it but it is a powerful pipe, should work fine on a 36.
