Hi
is there any known problems with the 9254
mine failed again today
it works fine for about 2 minuets then stops moving but is still holding last position with power. Have proved it not to be gyro by swapping and swapping back with another servo. this is only 2 months old.
is it the same as the 9253 but just with different gears??

I have had 2 9253 fail (1 failed in only 4,5 gallons), and now that I've read this post I will now be buying JR's 8700G.

Hi Matt,
The problem here in the uk is that the only service center is Rip-off-max so there's not a lot you can do..

Ive had more 8700g's than 9524's over the years mainly because i know you can get them repaired my mac-man at macgreggors.... (who does first class service btw)..

Hi Darren, long time no see

Not that i know off other than the gear train can get a little sloppy after allot of use. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of 560SL's working with 8700g's

Ive also got a 560SL running with a 9254 that i hover about with with no problems for the last year or so. Just if it ever goes wrong its a problem.....

I like that logic Jim. Just because someone posts a negative comment about a product, you are willing to switch brands. How come that never translates into Century. Post after post.

people have used the 8700g with the Futaba 401 gyro, you just need to use PCM.

Jeff my short trolling friend, I have read a few post on the 9253 failing.

now that Jeff H is on my ignore list he will have to talk behind my back like trolls and children do.

well, I know guys that have hundreds of flights on theirs (both 9253 and 9254), I had about 200 flights my first 9253, and about 4 or 5 gallons on my 2nd one, if you had 3 go bad in 6 months just hovering and FF I would suspect something in your setup, you should be using a long servo arm with the ball at the end, settings will be different on different helis, different tail blades and different Tx but my settings on my JR 8103 were 55% in HH and 52% HH.

Futaba gaves 1 year warranty for his products so if you sent to them maybe they can change or repair for you

Jeff, aren't you lucky! The village idiot's ignore list! Cool, join the party. For all you knee jerk guys, I wouldn't sell my 9253's and 9254's . Be reasonable. Find out why the fail first. p,s, and Jim, people talk behind your back, BECAUSE you choose to turn your back to them! It's like a four year old plugging his ears so he can't hear what you're saying.

Its not the first time Al, Ray and I both make it on his list last year for much the same reason, but Ray had to get a little nicer lately for obvious reasons. I take it as an honor.

Hi
took faulty servo to midland helicopters and they changed it without question. Thanks Trevor. Am still concerned with the reliability issue though.
