REVOLUTION has start!!

He guys the new Revolution, purposed by heliprofessional, was shown yesterday over there in Switzerland a brand new 90 size one which could also be electric powered! I seen it on www.rc-mundi.com It look awesome and has low weight 4.2kg with radio equipment. The design is really great and I will get one of the first batch in April!
Some comments??

Lots of similarities to the 3dnt layout, but definitely different.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

That undercart looks like it will be pricey when it breaks...

Also if you cant get hold of it you cant use a substitute...

Looks nice tho, next gen Tornado?

"Neat" look at how the tail servo works. Turns, instead of push pull. Pretty unique design. Wonder how much in dollars?

Wow
Am I the only one who thinks it looks ugly and impractical? Even a slight nose down crash will trash that motor and fan shroud, And sorry, but carbon landing gear is just a waste other than bling.
The machined metal looks very dull and cheap, dosen't look like a lot of thought went into the head design, looks like a couple of pieces of piping cut out and made to fit each other.
Hard landing can/will trash the pipe.
Sorry, don't like it and sure wouldn't pay for it.

Hey, you asked what we honestly thought, just my worthless two cents.

I agree with you. The thing just doesn't look very practical for everyday flying and thrashing. The landing gear setup doesn't look like it would take very many of my type of landings and the general aesthetics of the whole contraption look very odd. I'd be skeptical of spending big $$$ on something like this and worry about damaging it, unlike my Raptor which I thrash about all the time and never have to worry about hurting it or getting replacement parts for.

Dudes!!

It's computer drawings, that's why the colour of the parts look dull. And the landing gear is made from plastic. Or do you mean that 3DNT in the photo above which is a completely different machine?

Btw. The design looks great and if you study it and have some sense of mechanics you will see that a lot of thougt went into it. It should be very easy to work on for instance. Wish I could afford one.

The Raptor 90 will fly just as well... cheaper to crash and and not nearly as blingy as the Revolution/3DNT.

Wow, I really like that vid! I think it really has some nice features! Also just like the 3D MP you can convert it from nitro to electric power! Sweet! I was thinking of buying a 3D MP when spring comes by but now I might have to wait for this to come out, so we can compare... Actually maybe can't really compare as this is bigger than the MP.

What is Heli Professionals website?

YA think??

What color are the clouds on your world? A lot of thought went into it??
For starters, with the engine and fuel tank where they are, no thought went into c-g as the tank emptys, the c-g Will change,
second, you will need a lot of weight further back to compansate for the engine being so far forward,
third, look at the angle of the landing gear, nobody lands a heli at that angle, vertical lift-off and landings will be very difficult at that angle, while take-offs aren't going to be that difficult {as long as the pilot doesn't mind instant forward movement caused by the angle},
landing will be a diferant story.
The pilot will end land on the very back of the skids trying to land the heli vertical, it will be very unstable.

Hmm... I don't think you are right. The tank is right under the main shaft, so if it empties CG will not change.

The skids are parallel with the tail boom. I think you are mixing the Henseleit 3D NT with the Revolution here. (BTW no one ever complained about the Henseleit skids, everyone who has one just loves it! Henseleits are one of the best you can buy!) The picture someone posted above is just to show some similarities between Revolution and 3DNT. I actually don't really find so much in common between the two.

Revolution by Heliprofessional/ 3DNT by Henseleit

hello,

i think some of you guys mix up the new Revolution helicopter made by heliprofessional with the Three-Dee NT made by Jan Henseleit.

the real picture shows the 3DNT BUT the graphics show the Revolution made by helipro. you have to differentiate!!! it's not the same model and not the same producer.

here is the web adress for more detailed information about the revoluton+the tornado :

www.heli-pro.de

and

www.mah-blades.com

thanks for listening and greetings from germany

Ok, I was looking at the photo with all the carbon that Saboo posted, is that not the same heli?
My, bad, thats a 3dnt isn't it? {still hate it}

The revolution design does look like it improved flaws over the 3dnt.
Will it have carbon sides instead of the plastic?
