Same here. I got an email today that a part was delayed and the shipments were delayed also. They should ship tommorow or thursday. I waited this long a few more days won't hurt! It also gives you time to get everything else in order.

Some parts are sent out to be hardened and ground and unfortunately that company was late in their return shipment to us. The batch of kits that's waiting for that part should ship tomorrow anyway.

Im sorry to sound like a dumb................... you can fill in the blanks :P

Ok using a basic freya 70 as the donor for my avant. I need the following to build using a Cspec:

11T pinion/clutch bell
Fan shroud plus bracket
93T main gear

Do I need the delrin tail gear too? and whats the part number for that as I cant find it. Maybe I am being a bit dumb and impatient, but I CANNE WAIT.

Parts

If you are using a C Spec, you want the 7.92 gear ratio. 95T Delrin main and 12T pinion.

You need to have the Eagle/X Spec fan shroud and fan shroud bracket. You do not need the Delrin 17T tail gear, but it is better that you have it.

More than likely you would also need the fuel tank cushions, they are hard to salvage is they have been installed.

That is all you need, but other upgrades are usually used such as metal radius block and slider, and metal Yoke.

If you do get the metal yoke, you should get the V2 dampner system.

The only plastic left in my head assembly are the washout arms. Once I change these to Bling Blue, I will have a complete CF and metal chopper.

why do I need the cushions for. in the pics i've seen it doesn't seem like they use the same holes as the stock tank/ frame location..

I've been flying the 8:08 gear ratio in my avant and my ex. I really like it now.

Metal

OK, there are 2 places where plastic is left.... washout arms and blade grips.

The Avant uses 4 fuel tank cushions to secure the tank. They usually get torn up trying to remove from the Plastic frame of the Freya.

Evan,

I noticed you're using the metal plate under the 601 sensor.
The reason we made the gyro mount metal was so that it works as the EM shield so that you wouldn't need to use the metal plate. You can install your sensor without it and save some weight.

metal

Augusto,

Thanks for the update on the metal plate. Add that as a note in the manual. You also may want to add a note about the paddles too.

Ray, lol.... ya man! Having fun with it. Heading to Disney for the weekend (girlfriend time). Hopefully next week will be a test hover.

the problem with the 8:08 is in the tail drive pully. the spacer that sits between the gear and the bearing block on the pully hits the main gear.
I removed it and used a third bearing block on top to keep the shaft from sliding up. other than that just flip the main shaft bearing blocks and the clutch bearing block to get the right gear mesh.

12 tooth pinion and 97 tooth main gear. I believe they are wc gears but I may be wrong.

Yes they are WC gears, i just didnt think this could actually work if you flip the blocks - thats interesting !
Ray, can you explain where you put the 3rd bearing block on the tail pulley shaft ?

a few pics of all these mods would be great !
thanks.

8.08 gearing

I bet the 8.08 gearing would work well on the OS 91.
