Man........Watching that kind of gets me discouraged, thinking about how long I have to practice to get that good.

Great job!

If you keep doing the same thing…...you’re going to get the same results!

Think Alan's running a lower Yamaguchi style gearing in the vid, that headpeed sounds very high!

P.S Nice high res vid.

Hehe, there are a few out there

XFC 2003
IRCHA 2004 friday demo
This one which disappeared from augustoheli a few days after being posted.
I've also seen one with a very hard AR landing but I can't remember which one it was.

Hey guys insted of guessing what Alans setup is just ask him. He is a great guy and is always willing to help out and I am sure there is no big secret to his heli.

The thing is, out of those 3 you posted only one looks like it could be pilot error. The other two weren't his fault. The one he was being egged on by the crowd to go lower and the other one looks like it was a malfunction in the heli.

You know, those 947548 servos weren't fast enough for Al Magalof. I wonder how Alan manages flying those slow servos?

Great Job!!

Alan,
Do you every "dumb thumb", or when you crash is it just mechanical related??

Thanks Alan...pure pleasure to watch. How do you manage to get two brains in your head?

Maybe I'm just getting too old

Look forward to seeing you again at 3DM. And please.....don't ever think of giving up the hobby.

Rumor has it that the 94758 servos are a year old in that machine. Any confirmations or denials at this time?

Yes his servos in that machine are 16 months old. Same helicopter and equipment that was used in the 2004 XFC and 3D Masters.
