Is it possible to use a OS 46 in a Hawk IV without modifications ?
If not, what upgrades do I need ?

Thanks.

Yes it is possible but I do not recommend it unless you have it in a heavy scale fuselage and fly at a hot, high altitude site.

Why? Because the tail boom length limits you to use blades that are too short to harness all the power properly. This leads to hard to set needle settings and easily stalled rotor blades.

So beside changing the motor mount (HW3018) and gear ratio (primary drive gear - CN2224) you want to also change to the longer 600mm blades (CN2324), the longer Falcon boom (HW3062A), the longer wire drive (HW3063A) that came with the non SE version of the Falcon and the longer (HW3064A) tail rotor pushrod system,

As the 46/50 size 600mm blades are 20% to 30% heavier, and if you plan to run them at rotor speeds greater then 1550, I would recommend you also upgrade your feathering shaft system to the 6mm SE version (CN2221)
