I wanted to post a few pictures of my Tiger 50.
When I get the money to finish it I will post more.

The OS 50 Hyper touches the side frames.

The easy mod to add clearance.

Straight forward engine installation.

Left side frame.

Throttle linkage.

It doesn't look like you need much more money to finish this one. They pay $18 a pint for blood donors. A trip to the local Red Cross or sperm bank and you'll be airborne.

Thanks for the pictures. You did a nice job on the canopy.

Tiger 50

Hi Jvanscoyk,

How did this tiger kit go together and dose it look good as far as the quality is concerned, I spoke to the sales rep and they told me that this kit flys good and that replacement parts are not expensive, I sure would like some input on this kit.

Rick.

Hey nexusos46,

So far I am impressed with it. the quality of all the moldings look really good and the supplied manual is pretty good as well.
The hardware supplied is top notch. All nylon locking type nuts for the sideframes.
Out of the box it is setup for a beginner with finished wood blades.
They also include spacers and longer screws to move the balls out on the swashplate to the flybar control arm for more paddle deflection. Which I did. If you center all 3 CCPM servos you get level washout arms and 0 degrees pitch on the main blades right out of the box.
The 3mm cap bolt holders are a nice touch. The fuel shutoff slot through the side frames is pretty cool too.

It took me about 4 hours of assembly to get to what you see in the pictures. The included wood blades should be fine for learning to hover. I am opting for a set of carbon blades because of the OS50 Hyper and my willingless to learned 3D. At about $200 less in price than my Voyager 50 I'm hoping to be less timid with it. The prices for parts appear to be a LOT cheaper then my Voyager as well.

If you have any other questions or want to see more pictures, just let me know.

Here are the rest of the pictures that I promised.
It's ready to go and should fly this Sunday if the weather cooperates here in Arizona.

The Tiger currently has -11 to +11 degrees. I have Idle Up 1 set to -10 to +10 degrees. It should be a little hotrod with the Hyper 50 in it.

I'll keep you posted on the test flight.

The Flying Tiger!

It was a cold blustery day here in Southern Arizona with 10-15mph winds. The Tiger 50 handled the wind very well.
I even managed to set it up so the blades tracked perfectly without any adjustments.

Billrad, you'll really like the heli!! Very smooth in the air and stable in hover. I'm still tweaking mine but it's comming along great!!

Tiger 50

Got mine assembled and set up this past weekend. It was a breeze to set up even though its my first ccpm heli. Only one link had to be changed slightly to get the swashplate level. I am using a TT50 in mine and TT carbon blades. The weather here in Indiana has not given me much of a chance to get out and fly the thing, but this past Saturday was mild enough to a least hover it for a couple of tanks. Only a couple of clicks of forward cyclic and left cyclic were needed to trim the heli for an almost hands off hover. This thing really hovers smooth and stable. Can't wait to get out and actually fly it. For the price, $299 as an arf, I don't know how you can beat it. Will post when I get some time to wring it out a little. Anyone with questions, can pm or email me. Be glad to answer what I can.

JB, not hype!! Just a new heli on the block that's very well thought out and flies great!! Best part is the price!! Being a budget minded hobbyist in an expensive hobby, I'm always excited about new helis that I can afford and offers great flying characteristics and quality. Just another heli to add competition to the 50 size market. Like anything, it takes word of mouth to get it noticed.
