I sure hope someone can give me an idea as to what happened.

I have over 2 hours of flight time on my Trex and last evening I was hovering in my basement and about 5 minutes into the flight the heli suddenly yawed left into the ground. I would not mind so much if it would have been my fault, but there was no rhyme or reason I could find. I picked it up and hooked a seperate power source to bypass the ESC and motor and all seemed fine! I have a Berg 6 rx with JR8103. The main blades are toast, but I can't really find anything else broken or bent. I will of course check further before attempting to fly again.

I was curious if this could be the cause. Last evening we were having electrical storms and, excuse my stupidity if this is the cause, but I have no idea if storms can cause interference like this.

I run in high gov with 0, 25, 100, 100, 100 throttle and 0 pitch at mid stick with -11 to +11 pitch range. I have not noticed any bogging and I thought all was good!

Please help

Any possibility the linkages caught on the canopy? Just a thought.

The canopy is nortorius for this problem. Take a blow dryer to the area aorund the links and gently pull it away while applying heat. Dont use to much heat or things will get ugly. Its easy to do and looks great instead of chopping off the collar of the canopy.

you have 100% throttle and 0 pitch at mid stick? that sounds a little scary :-0! The canopy caught me up once, luckily I was able to recover, but decided to cut off 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch from the top area of the canopy to ensure it doesn't interfear in the future, best of luck tracking down the cause of your problem,

Mark

Yeah, I fixed the canopy before I painted it. I spent several hours making sure the head was very smooth and free from binding so I guess I will have to keep looking.

Thanks
