It works great with the 9t and even better with the 8t lots of head speed so make sure your throttle curve is no higher than 80% maybe 85% and make sure blades are balanced.

With the ABS blades and the 400DH the heli out the box is very good minus the little slop in the head. With the stock wood blades and the 400DH not so good. I installed the stretch kit and with the longer wood blades balanced and tracking correct the 400DH went balistic, good power throughout and runs very cool includiing the TP 2100 and the CC25 ESC,

What I would suggest is you spend a little more time getting the linkages set correctly mechanicall before you power up this way your pitch curve stays 0,50,100 in all flight modes. in normal mode all you have to do is set negative pitch to 30%, and that should do it.

I been running a 400dh for a few weeks now, 9 tooth, cc25, tp1340 and 2100, wood blades, the cc25, 400dh run cool to the touch, put batteries running hot for me, just changed over to the 8 tooth yesterday , seems to be bringing the batteries down to a acceptable temp now, 125 degrees with a 10 min flight, and 7 minutes of that in idle up 1 with the 2100mah pack, and that was with the outside temp here at 60 degrees, by the way that was just flying around in the front yard, no 3d.

Glad to here that Coolpowered. please remember to rest for at lest 1-1/2 mins per 10 min flight. It helps keep the bats way cool… these are not nitros. I would run my son's RC Hummer by NIKKO and them damn batteries would get real hot, and that is on a POS.

Wht not try the 400df -12 mag cogging is craszy way more torque than the DH, handles more amps too.

When I get another TREX I will give it a try. But right now the DH is great.

I have the timer on my tx set for 10minutes for the 2100mah packs, playing it on the safe side, dont want to damage a battery.
