e-Align T-REX 450-500-600 > ABS blades OK for me!

Hi all,

Haven't heard much positive about the ABS blades on this forum - so much so, that I wasn't even going to try them. However, after weedwhacking a rosemary bush (only damaged the covering of the woodies - not the wood, can I recover them??), I tried the ABS blades - tracking was great, and they seem pretty well balanced out of the box. Guess I got lucky - or am I missing something?

I should add that I am currently "Mr. Hover About" - I havent progressed to FFF yet - so perhaps the blades are fine for me (for now at least). I do have another 4 sets of woodies on the way however.

Thoughts?

Regards,

-Iain

At first I couldnt even get off the ground with the abs blades but after some set up tweeking I think I like them better than the woodies.they seem to be more stable .I'm sure the woodies are better for more exerienced pilot but for now for me I like the way it flies with the abs,and the fact that I cant seem to break them

GRAVITY SUCKS!

Yeah - not breaking is good, although I know the more experiences may say that our machines are built to fly, not crash! After weedwhacking the rosemary the only damage was the covering on the woodies - I guess its the CP version of the Corona

As you say, for us less experienced folks, the ABS blades are probably fine!

abs seem to fly fine but if you observe your tracking it will look like your running two sets of blades, but they are tough buggers.

I'll have to get a better look, but it seemed that the tracking was pretty good - guess its luck of the draw. Seems that there are some unbelievably cheap (< $20) carbon blades available from Align now - I have carbon blades on a Hornet, and they are incredibly tough; not much fun if they fly off and hit you (or someone else) though. Wonder if anyone has tried the T-Rex carbon blades yet?
