what are you guys using the 400l getting for flight times and with what battery?and how do you like the overall performance of that moter?........thanks

I am getting 11 minutes, mixed flight, some hard and then the ussuall forward flight with a few rolls and loops, 400L motor tp2100 3s bat
Yep same here, usually fly for 10 minutes taking 1400 out of the TP2100 pack, 2500kv Long motor 100% throttle, 15T pinion.
Loops, rolls, inverted, general cruising around.

only 2100rpm - looking for a better motor so I can run 2400rpm
Could perhaps gear this one up a bit more, but must be a limit to how hot it can run.

Im running 10 - 12 min consistently. I have tached my 400L w/13t tooth at 2100 rpms in normal mode and 2400 at 100% throttle. motor stays at 210 degrees and seems to be holding up great. Cant beat the performance you get for the money out of this thing.

Thanks for all the info,It sure sounds like a good motor for the price.Why is everyone running the 400L when the 400S is alot lighter?less power or overheating ur somthing?

2500KV? The 400L 2500KV works fine, thats what Im using. Im not an expert in the numbers behind the motors. I think the 400L has more torque and seems more powerfull from it.
