All this talk about the T-Rex swash plate has me shopping around for a new one.
Has anyone tried the UNI Precision CNC machined aluminum Swashplate?
They claim 2 grams less than the weight of T-REX stock plastic swashplate

I’m seriously considering buying one but wanted to check if anyone else has tried it, and what the outcome was.

I received one of Microhelis 120 swash plates and all I can say is
WOW!
Microheli does a great job. Fit and finish are awesome.
If you are looking for a new swash, I think thiers is the way to go.
I'm sure the Uni swash is of the same caliber as my 120.

I have the V2 uni swash on my Shogun and you guys won't find a better swash! I can't believe that it is actually hand polished. I don't think it could ever fall apart, very well made guys!

i'm confused. on microheli's website, it says the uni v2 swash is designed for "T-REX450/450X helicopters or Zoom400 helicopter with small upgrade kit." does that mean the t-rex requires a "small upgrade kit", or is it a direct bolt-on?

I am waiting for it to go on sale at half price! Too expensive for me!

The swash can be ordered as a T-rex or Shogun kit. If you already had one on your Shogun and wanted to use it on a T-rex then you order the upgrade kit which is just 2.3mm balls that the T-rex uses. The balls are all held on with cap head screws.

It's not any more expensive than the turd swash Helihobby sells. The one from Microheli is 12.2 grams which is 2g lighter than the stock T-rex swash and the same weight as the Shogun stock swash.

SWASH falling apart in mid flight...it's bad thing, someone could get hurt

As aggressive as Align is I hope that they react and offer an upgraded swash as a number one priority, and then maybe a better tail slider.

I'm flying the MicroHeli swash plates on one of my T-Rex's and one of my Shogun's and they are smooth as silk. These pups will not be separating either. Nicely made with maxium utility and bling factor as a bonus.

I am sure it works great! My only gripe is the price of $84.99! I mean the swashplate for my Freya X-spec is only $54, and a metal swashplate for a Raptor 30/50 is less than $50. I am sure since you get them free Boyd, this is not really a concern to you.

Align need to offer upgrades....

Yes the slider on the T-Rex needs a lot of improvement! Mine has developed alot of play between it and the rudder arm.

As long as people are crazy enough to spend $$$ on Microheli's upgrades they will keep their prices high! I refuse to pay that much money for something like that. I would ditch my heli before spending $85 on a swashplate!

Aligned is working on some aluminum swashplate that is produced by some China manufacture. I believe it is very economicwise.

Yup, Align is supposed to have a series of upgrades soon. The metal swashplate will be out in a matter of "days", and will be fraction in cost of any other on the market today. But don't expect it to be the same caliber as microheli's. You get what you pay for.

I agree you get what you pay for.

$80.00 is a fair chunk of change, but I will gladly spend it to get a good quality product for my Heli, especially one that will improve stability, performance, and reliability.

Better yet...Align should just make a fix for the stock swash, which I'm sure they will. $80.00 is 8 times the cost of a stocker and 1/2 the cost of the whole heli...nice but still very expensive. I don't want to turn mine into the Zoom money pit as well!

i did not buy this heli to start paying out more and more
if align bring out a swash plate at a real price thats not so bad
but there is no way i will fork out $80 hear and another $80 there
i might as well just go and buy another nitro heli
