Fuel Valve

When your engine starts running like crap and you cant seem to tune it anymore get rid of the fuel valve. I have used them in the past, and they dont last very long before starting to not seal all the way.

Air in your heli fuel line is not a good thing unless you like unexpected auto's and problems.

Food for thought

Raptor 60

jbrundt,

Just checked your website. Looks good and I see you're really coming along on your 60.

I have one thing to say about the torque tube on the Raptor 60. I really wish you would drill and pin that sucker. My 60 crashed on the 3rd flight when the metal endcap on the tail side came loose (spinning inside the torque tube) in flight causing total tail rotor loss and a resulting crash.

I was reading your assembly about the tail section and didn't notice anything about it.

If you haven't heard about this potential problem with the Raptor 60 I feel you should know it is possible. I'd hate to see you have a "problem" later like I did, especially if it is something you can prevent.

Dave,

I've been using these fuel valves for years. I have one on all my planes and several of these are over 5 years old and they have not given me any trouble.

I will keep an eye on it though.

Thanks for the tip. Can you tell me if this problem happened on one of the ealrier versions of the raptor prior to V.2?

Glad you like my website too
