Hi folks,

Thanks to great information on this site, my T-Rex is almost ready to go. Encountered a few issues:

1. Defective Align servo on elevator (output shaft wobbles and a couple of degrees slop). Replaced with HS55.

2. There is considerable slop in the washout mixer links (??) that connect to the swashplate - the dog-leg shaped ones. Not enough for the links to fall apart, but its close.

3. Align gyro seems to have mind of own, although from what I've read this is normal for HH gyros - it creeps one way or the other... I've never had an HH gyro before, so I don't quite know what to expect.

4. Tail pitch slider - took a few attempts before this was suitable free (reminded me of the Hornet)

5. (My fault). Completely botched setting up collective - terrible vibration on spool up. Then I read the instructions (carefully this time) and now, even without the blades balanced yet, it spools up pretty smoothly.

I have to say that I had great fun building it! Great engineering (apart from a few quality issues), and I'm looking forward to flying.

Has anyone tried the plastic blades? I've heard that the wooden ones are better (I have 2 sets of those), but I'm not sure what constitutes "better" - could anyone enlighten me?

Many thanks,

-Iain
