My Christmas project is nearing completion, so I thought I'd get some feedback from the guys

New Trex site

Please be constructive and say if there is stuff you would like to see but I haven't covered.
I will be moving it to a proper domain name in the new year but for testing purposes it's on my ISP free webspace.

Ashley.

Excellent work Ashley.
Had I seen this before I built mine I reckon it would have saved me a couple of hours. But I enjoyed building it anyway.

I've just finished assembling my TRex and have "skated" it across the living room floor. All it needs is a wee tweak to blade tracking and optimizing the gyro.

Awesome site Ashley. Straight into my favourites folder.

I'm sure all TREX owners appreciate the time and effort your putting in to your website.

Keep us posted if the site moves.

Cheers
Matt

Ill get you some numbers from tests ill be doing this week with some motors I have. I just got my new tools such as an ammeter, pitch gauge, temp gun, and heli tach. I will dial in a few different setups to measure there current draw, operating tempratures, flight times, etc.... I want to find out the best setup. I want to have a cool motor, long flight time, and good power and stability. Ill let you know what I come up with probably by this weekend. Im really just looking for an excuse to play with my toys.

Good Job. Keep up the good work.
It's webpages like these that'll help the Trex community out.

Really a nice job there, some comments: on the FAQ's page the text is garbled(with Firefox 1) also on building it pages some pics are under the last line of text (on the top pics) making that text impossible to read.

Ashley, thanks for a great site! Wish I'd seen this before I started building... without info like yours, the T-Rex would be very difficult to someone who had never built a heli before and had no little mechanical aptitude. Also, the setup for "mild" flying is appreciated :-)

Marcelg - I had the same issue with Internet Explorer: reducing font size using the View menu fixed it. You can probably do this with Firefox too

Ashley,

Very nice and informative site. Any thought of letting us dropping our comments there or questions? Something like forum?

Thanks,

Thanks for the comments, I need to read through carefully and do some tweaking by the look of things.

Specifc comments

Jarod.... email me, I interested in working with you on the motor tests, I think they could prove very popular viewing and you seem to have all the toys to make the test figures.

The text garbling, that can be down to viewing the site at below 1024*768 resolution, I'm using style sheets which can sometimes cause problems like misalignment of text over pictures and so forth.
I'll see what I can do. I usually use tables for alignment of text and pictures so I may swap it around for best compatibility with all browsers.

MicroHeli.com ..... I avoided putting up a forum as I felt RunRyder already did a grand job of providing this but I'll look into a feedback and questions section without trying to take over the community here on Runryder.

Lastly, thanks for the encouraging messages, I'll be up late the next few nights filling in the sections that are currently empty (gallery, links, gyros).

Ashley.

Ashley,

I think Runryder is huge and it is always a great place that people keep coming in to work with each other here. I personally think if you get something going on like some space (in each category such as set up or build), when people read your wonderful guides, if they have any questions, they just drop down there some lines below. Isn't that better than jumping from one forum to the other? That is like FAQ section in your website but more specific in each category and you can be able to organize it there so more people can read things related to your guiding topics. If you create the same forum like this, it will spin off every where, very hard to find again. I do not think that is another forum competed to Runryder. I think that will help flyers even more.

That's my 2cents. Anyone else's opions?

Ashley,
The site looks great, keep up the good work.
I don’t know how you can find time to build, fly and create an awesome web site.

Are there any plans on including sections for the castle creations Phoenix 25/35 ESC, and also a section on radio programming set-up for various manufacturers, such as the Futaba 9C.

A minor suggestion, you may want to mention the swash plate issue that some people have been experiencing.
I have been building my new Christmas present for the past two days, I could not get my swash to come apart??

Thanks again for your efforts
