i have been flying for the last 3 days with no canopy fitted
now that i have it flying as i like it i cannot fit the canopy
the outer aileron arms hit the top of the canopy
i have cut off the little lug but still cannot get full pitch
has anyone else had this problem

u can try heating the area and reshaping the canopy

i did.. i took care of it using a mini-torch and reshaping the area near the top canopy opening where it used to touch the linkage arms. some folks have cut this area but for me, re-shaping it retained the canopy and did not put edges for the linkage to get hung on.

i was thinking along the same lines as you
pity as i have just done my best paint job ever on a canopy
unless anyone has any other ideas
i have just found as well that it has stripped the pitch servo gears (align 9g) as well

but a good thing came out of it i had 2 hitec hs-81 servos so i fitted one to the tail and put the other align servo back on the pitch
the hitec servo works much better

make sure that your swash links are on the inside of the control arms, when i received mine, they were on the outside. It make a difference in binding and the canopy will now fit.

The older I get, the better I was

hi
Hydroman

all the links are on the inside
i am looking at the last 3mm of lift
it is as though the canopy needs to be just that little bit wider at the top curve

on the build all the links where longer than on the manual
so in a way everything is running 3mm higher than it should
i have ordered a new link set just in case that is what it is
also the front a arm as it went into the main frame it was rubbing badly
(alot of twist) so i had to take a file and angle the top of the main frame just in case it got stuck

it seems to me as if my kit is a friday afternoon job from the factory
but it will not beat me

it looks good sitting next to the rappy 50

just had my 2nd align servo gears go on me (aileron)
so far have had 8-10 hrs flying just came down to a hover and bang the servo went
i am not doing 3d just flying around getting a good feel of the heli
every thing is moving nice and smooth so no force has been put on the servo
i evan have the travel on atv turned down way under max travel
i am sorry to say that i do not trust these servos any more
what other servos have you all tryed

I took a 5/16 socket and heated it up and used it to make a formed bubble were the links go. I would post a photo but its not Monday. (free posting day)
