I just got this XL-PRO HIGH TORQUE STARTER frome Miniature Aircraft !!! The first time i seen one was frome (Vigor 1) at the Maryland fun fly last month... It work just fine on my YS-80 I just don't see any one using them ??? I know with the shaft it came to 150. But i love toys, and this is so small and lite, Is there something worn with it ???

Besides the price tag??

Sure it has plastic gears and is housed in plastic.Do you notice that they make rebuild kits for it already?Another way to get money out of us.It looks cool but it's more cost effective to buy a cheapo cordless drill that probably has metal gears and a 3-5 year warranty.Since you have the money to buy a $150. starter, why not buy my Mystar60??LOL

I had one. The case cracked up at the front where the gears are. The plastic is way to brittle for the hammering the gears give it. Mine had all metal gears though. Oh, by the way, a replacement plastic case is $60. I thru it into my pile of broken heli parts and went back to lugging my sullivan dynatron and a battery around. It did work well, and it is small and light. If the case problem was solved I would love to use it again.

This is my second season on mine. 100's of starts. I put an 8 cell 2400ma battery in with an outside charge plug. When doing so, I cleaned and greased the bearings and gears. It has routinely started my Raptor 30/50/60 and an OS91.

It is a RC car battery pack that I had. The Pocket starter comes with 1400ma pack. I was going to go to 10 cell 12volt, but this turns the 91 well, so I'm happy for now.
