I have a slight problem with my T-rex 450x im running a non head holding gyro with my stock t-rex. Adjusted correctly not backwards. My pitch is almost all the way in to the rear tail gear box until it almost touchs thats the only way I can fly without the tail going counter clockwise it stays if it almost all the way as far as it goes but that doesnt seem right anyone have any clues or ideas whats my problem. My pitch on the rear blades is almost like my old hornet 1" 1/2 from blade to blade. What is yours at netural and does anyone have a pitcture?

try to change length of tail-pitch-ball links to make some room for tail-pitch-slider to make heli rotate more in the direction you want.

Nope cant adjust it anymore then it is. Should'nt be like that for it to almost be in all the way to hover im talking like 3 mm before it hits the tail box. I took the whole tail assem. apart and put it back together and also checked to make sure the belt was tight enough . Same thing

You have the ball-links on the leading egde,
should be on the trailling egde.

And another thing: if You are running at very low headspeed You need
lot of pitch to lift off, but then the tail don`t have enough power to hold and You need a lot of pitch there too but there is not enough travel.

In the manual it shows it on the leading edge. I have alot of head speed also. Can anyone else tell me that the ball links are incorrect?
Or unless you have a picture of your tail.

There back on the leading edge and I mite have found the problem one of the tail ball ends where sticking. (A) should be facing out Duh . Also if you flip the tail 180 out you have to rev everything on the radio and the gyro so that is the incorrect way to install the tail. If anyone else has any feedback on this subject please let me know.

Strange about the manuals. In mine it show the ball link
on the trailling egde page 6 in the original manual.
You are right about that it could stick, right in the middle.
Mine did exactly the same, but I didn`t have the same problem
with the tail.
Still, it does sounds strange as You said You need full right rudder
to hold the tail.
You say You have enough headspeed but not how much. What motor
are You using and what pinion?

Align 2800 motor, 13 tooth and TP-1900 have tons of head speed. My other t-rex flys great but the tail on this one is just giving me a head acke.

Try taking the tail apart and reinstalling it. Once you have it apart you might be able to spot the problem..

What about the belt? Could it be looped on backwards?

Cheers,

elco

One other thing I just notice also with the plastic blades they stink junk them. I put the wooden blades on and what a difference wow tail is solid also must be something to do with the length and the weight never again will I fly with them stock plastic blades again. All tail problems resolved. Im off to flying again o ya BTW im running the Align 400s w/13 tooth pinion and Align 25amp Speed Controler getting about 10 to 12 minutes of flight time. Motor temp is around 135f and the battery is around 84f running TP-1900 11.1
