Hi guy's I have a problem with my t-rex or esc now, Im not to sure where I should start to find what's wrong.

First of all:
T-Rex 400X
Align 400S (2500K) Motor
CC35 ESC
Futaba 9 Super radio
1500 3C Pack

the other day everything seemed to be fine, I gave it a good hovor, now when I try the esc cut's out. I have tryed holding the main UC and winding it up, I get to about 3/4 throttle and a red light comes on on the ESC then it cut's.

I think I might have played a bit to much with my radio setup, damm I wish Futaba would make a bit of software where we could program out radio's from our conmputers, then just upload the data to the TX.

Final note, I have the PHX-Link, my setting's are:

Cutoff 9V
Softstart
No Break
Auto calibrate throttle

Apart from that my ESC settings are pretty much default.

Any ideas?

I have seen an esc die from incorrect pitch settings, too much load= too much temp. I run the same as you exept for align 1900 ilion battery.
Throttle settings are 0, 88, 93, 93, 93. Pitch is -9, 0, +6, +8, +9. This allows sport flying at 1/2 to 3/4 stick. Works for me.

Thanks for that JD, I am thinking now of going to a 2200 3S pack, I will change my settings when I get home tomorrow and see how I go.

Is there a simple way of setting the pitch when you don't have a pitch gauge?

You gotta have a pitch guage, otherwise it's pointless playing helicopters. Align has a cheap one now for the Trex (K10180A).
