Blades, Night Flying and Painting > How do I stop my paint from coming off?

I've painted my canopy but its already had a hard time getting transported and the paints come off a bit where its been scraping along other stuff.
What can I coat the canopy in so it protects the paint?
Will ordinary varnish do?

is it a plastic canopy or fiberglass??? if its plastic the trick is to use a adhesion promoter first. I get some stuff around here called BULLDOG ADHESION PROMTER. I paint it on first before the flexible primer. here is a link to another post about the painting process i use http://runryder.com/showtopic.htm?s=&topicid=1401 only thing i forgot to mention in that post is that i clear coat it when im done....... actually on my second coat of paint it is mixed 50/50 with clear coat....... then a finall 100% clear to finish it off..... If its fiberglass then after painting make sure u clear coat it and that should be all you have to do..... PREPPING IS THE NAME OF THE GAME when it comes to getting paint to stick........ hope this helped ya Wes
