Hi there, just recieved my new CNC swashplate from Heli-Hobby (very small plug, sorry if it breaks the rule:-)

Talk about being smooth, really nice compaired to the standard align one. Whould highly recommend getting one if into 3D, mainly due to the slop is gone out of all the swash linkages, there's way more travel available, and lastly it looks really cool ;-)

Finally I would like to give Heli-Hobby a proper plug, I was totally amaised with their service and shipping, I have heard of a few people having problems, I live in New Zealand (that's the small dot at the bottom of the world map) and it arrived here in 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!

And here I thought the concord was not flying anymore.... well it must be to get it here that quick.

If you think the one from helihobby is nice, wait until you see the one from microheli. It's like comparing a Kia with a Porsche.

I got one here for the zap/zoom ( about $65 usd) and changed the ball links on it to fit the Rex ..and its NICE!!!! I also was able to use the raptor balls on the heli with the stock trex links ..it took out all the slop in the head.

also you can use the tail grips for the raptor as main grips. I got a set of CNC ones for $25usd here and put them on my T rex. another nice bling

Nice but.....

www.microhobby.com/ has the nicest looking Swashplate...but too bad the price is so HIGH! I want to keep my T-Rex nice and cheap to bounce around.

Maybe someday their price will tumble when Align comes out with a cheaper alternative!

hi boyd,

i saw you mentioned that you prefer a setup that evens the load on all the servos - as a reason to go ccpm... since i think it was posted in your togs thread, i imagine that you intend to lose some weight by removing all the various pitch/collective arm mechanics. are these the main reasons & advantage you're opting for a ccpm setup? or is there additional knowledge pertaining to ccpm working well with the rex (ie; more responsive cyclic? or?)?
