A friend of mine named christophe had his Heli stolen , Saturday the 11th
In the late afternoon......
He was flying behind the old K-mart off 183 near 620. around 5:00pm.
The heli is a Freya 60, and they also stole his field box aswell.

The discription of the two guy's is vague but they were driving a red sedan....like a chevy beretta, or something similar.

If you have any information at all about the whereabouts of this heli, please let me know via P.M.........or you may contact the Austin Tx police department directly.

Thank's in advance for any help............
here is a picture of the stolen heli and field box......(the picture show's a radio, but that was not stolen).

Or call all of them and send them a picture so that they could help the Police recover it...
Damn Bastards ! WTF!!!!!!!!!!

He needs to list all he had in it so that a more positive ID is done !

I will be looking for it and the guy's in Georgetown need to know !

Call All of the Hobby Shops and give them a picture and if they see it they should take it to the back so that they could look @ and keep it for the police and give they the info on the person or person's that bring it in!!!!!!!!

Keep us Updated !

Hey guys this is really screwed up. I am at the GAMA field every saturday and will be watching like a hawk. I still find it hard to imagine the balls it would take to just walk up, nab it and hall butt. This sucks.

I just sent this link to Hill Country Areo Modelers and ARCA... That way all the clubs are aware...
I know that GAMA members already know about this..........so that should cover all the local clubs.

Pretty distinctive canopy, knowing how stupid theives are, they won't change it and they'll get caught. Good luck with the license plate, I hope they send them to "federal pow-me in the ass prison." (Office Space is great!)

I'll keep an eye on it too! I live in RR and have flown planes over at that location a few times this past summer. That really sux, I guess I need to be more attentive with my stuff at the elem school that I fly at..I walk away from the car/RC stuff when I'm flying and it's a pretty busy area..

Well I am a proud heli owner myself and I too will keep my fingers crossed for you BigCheese and your buddy. Hope you get it back. Others are right, expect those thieves to sell it at either a pawn shop, nearby flying field, hobby shop, or ebay. Surely those idiots dont intend to fly it, they probably just thinking of exchanging for someone's cash

Good Luck and update us all!!!

Update.........

Well, I just got a E-Mail from christophe..........Not Good.
The police are not being as helpfull as he was wishing.....
They lost the original police report and seem to be draggin their feet.
It sounds like he's loosing hope............
I quess their not too concerned about a stolen heli.......with all the other Sh*@ they have to deal with, A stolen heli falls low on the priority list!!...........which is understandable, but still SUCKS!!!

Well...........lets keep our fingers crossed. And our eye's open!!!
I'll keep in touch with christophe, and let ya'll know whats happening.

Update!!.........

Well I just got a E-Mail from christophe.......He did get through to the police.
Apperently the case has been givin to a detective to ivestigate.
They do have a desciption of the car, and the licence plate number!!
So I'm sure they know who these guys are.
It's just a matter of time before they question the owner of the car.

Personaly..................I would take the LP number.....find out who, and where they are..........and make a little visit myself!!
but thats me!!.....
I wonder what they would think if all the GAMA heli pilots showed up at their house...............asking questions!!(who's with me)

Oh well......that would be ideal, but I quess laws have to be obeyed.....
But I feel that law breaker's...especialy crooks...should not have those right's protecting them!!.........but again, thats me.

christophe will keep me updated.....

Don't hold your breath!

My son's house was broken into in July. His nieghbor got a description of the car and people that broke in. He knew who it was and where they lived. He gave all of this info to the police. A week later he and his roomates ran into the thieves and saw some of thier items in the thieves car, so they called the police again. The police came out but by the time they got there the thieves left. Again the police felled to follow up. Even after the roomate recovered a Xbox from the car and proved to the police it was his. To this date the police have failed to make a arrest or issue warrants for the thieves. The last response from the detective was about a month ago and he told the roommate that they needed to find out where the guy works or a SS number on they guy. The sad part abut this is the insurance company has felled to pay the claim because there is still an open investigation.

I had problems with a nieghbor that was dealing crack a couple of years ago. I worked with the police as well as on my own through the internet resulting in several arrest including a police officer. I used a website www.publicdata.com. You can enter all sorts of info and gain alot on people you are looking for. License plate for example and gain a name and address. Also once you have the name you can find out criminal background of who you are looking at.

Good Luck

If God meant man to fly, He'd have given him more money

Yeah the police in general are about as useful as a choclate fire guard, if there are police officers on RR, then can you help out when ppl are in situations like this, if you are capable of helping but do not, then you fall into the useless police catagory, what the hell do we pay taxes for anyway (me, i'm taking the law into my own hands if this happens to me, I would actually be bothered to do something about it)
