that sucks. im waiting for fung to get some more trex's back in stock so i can order my kit ( kit & motor only )

hope my order doesnt get messed up, cause it really sucks when that happens.

My guess is that they simply got 'too much' customers wanting by this and that, and they changes the combos slightly depending on what parts they´ve got in stock.
My friends got 4x9G servos instead of 3x9G and 1x6G, and both of them got E-Pro 1320mA packs.

I received all 9g servos as well but that's what was promised in the combo. I'm pretty sure Fung & crew are going to correct my order with minimal hassle.

how is everybody finding fungs lightning combo?

just wondering now that xmas has passed, how you all are finding this cheap combo (as Im about to join the t-rex fan club!).
A friend suggests getting rid of the servos and using GWS naro balls for the main 3 and a hitec HS50 in the tail. he also suggests swapping the two included batteries for just one one ThunderPower Gen 2 2100mA 3S / Polyquest 2200 3s. Finally, he said CC25ESC was the go to match the 400S 2800kv.

I do wonder if fung will swap these items without marking up the kit too much. The kit is cheap, and if u price all the bits in the kit seperate on fungs website, it costs much more. To give an example, fung already said swapping the Align 25ESC for the Align 35ESC would be $20 more. The difference between the two on his website is $2 ! (47 vs 49)

I also need a TX to match 7chp/rd8000/Optic6 are all possibilities (trying to keep under 150usd). must be 36Mhz

Whats the feedback? Should I try other shops ? Im down under (Australia)

I have the combo. Been flying it for the past couple of weeks. For the cash it's a great deal but I wouldn't disagree with the comments. The Align servos are OK but I will want better ones later but for the general chuck about they are getting now they are OK. I have a Jet Power 2200mah and an unidentifed (possibly) 1500mah other pack that Fung sent (not sure how to work out what mah it is....any ideas?).

I went with the Align 35A and it's been very good and it's far cheaper than going with a CC ESC. It also allows many more choices for later when I do a motor upgrade.

For a tx the ones you have named are fine except for the Hitec Optic 6, the Hitec Eclipse 7 is far more capable for Helis and is similar in price. I use the Eclipse to fly my Trex.

As for service, Fung is fast and does give a good service, he will correct any problems you may have with minimal fuss.

I would say for the money you can't go wrong but you will end up upgrading some bits later.

Got my Christmas T-Rex flying and really enjoying it. The Align gyro isn't what I'm used to with a 401 but with some tweaking I hope to get the best out of it. Failing that I'll fit my 401 in it. Hope the rest of you are still enjoying yours too.

i agree about the servos (align 9g)
had mine flying since boxing day
just basic hovering f/8s
but the servos cannot take any strain
the first went when i first fitted the canopy nothing left of the gear
the 2nd went today aileron servo
again nothing left of the gear
lucky i had a hs 51 that i put on the tail much better
then i just got hold of a hs-56hb with karbonite gears
i have just ordered some more so i can get rid of all the align servos
unless some one knows of a better replacement gears for them
