come on guys, keep your pants on. I went and few the Avant with augusto this morning. There are some mods that Augusto made for the head that your gonna love. I myself become 100% better of a pilot everytime I fly the Avant so I'm very pleased. The feeling of the change to the head also gives it the hirobo stability and the fury agility. I cant tell you the exact release date but I bet you can have it for Christmas. The kit is complete......Done.

Avant DoneYou read it here folks! Done! If history is any guide in the heli world, the production run will be gone in a few days, judging by the number of views on this post. One thing hasn't been discussed here I don't recall, is the distribution channel for the conversion. Will it be sold exclusively through Carbon Extreme's website (initially)? And will other's like Ricks and Heliproz be carrying the kits? Inquiring minds want to know!

As Ray posted and unlike some people's perception the Avant is not only a conversion kit that changes the frames, mass moment of inertia and that lowers weight but it's also a conversion for the head that blends the tracking on rails of the Freya with cyclics that are faster than a Fury without any bogging and a savage pumping pitch action that I have never experienced before in any heli. The pitch pumping response is so fast that I had to switch to a TJ-Pro because for some odd reason the GV-1 wasn't able to follow the changes in engine demands when pumping it so hard I need to investigate more on that). The balance of changing the delta, flybar ratios, swash to blade ratio, and swash to flybar ratios from the head mods resulted in the kind of holy grail response I've been looking for a long time.
When I took it to IRCHA the head mods were not ready so I couldn't take them with me. The guys that flew it at IRCHA experienced the result of the other things I mentioned above but not the new head response. I also didn't want to post about them because I didn't want people driving me crazy with questions (I still don't want that ). We realized that for a heli that's so light all the head ratios needed to be re-designed otherwise the heli would not keep the perfect stability when doing wind penetration that prevents losing momentum that wouldn't bother a heavier heli as much. This was also necesary to take advantage of the new realm of maneuvers that its lighter weight allows. I wanted to go as light as possible without losing an inch or doing any tradeoffs. Ray's first comment when he saw it first a couple of nights ago was that the arms seemed unusual but when he flew it he got it and was as delighted as I am.
The head mods will be included in the kit. Unfortunately I don't have pictures but they will be posted with the release pictures and as far as technical info I really don't want to disclose technical info on it yet. You guys will likely feel it for yourself when you fly one.
There are some details that we are finishing for the release and it seems that the first batch for before christmas will ship without the pretty box but somehow I don't think that will matter to some people
I'll keep you posted and I will post the release in a separate thread here in RunRyder as well as other heli forums.
