Very nice. Looks almost like mine. I thought you had carbon fins on her or is that the orginal decals on the carbon fins? How did you remove the purple from the pitch tail lever? Tell us how she flys.

Absolutely beautiful. I'm anxious to be there myself!! I look forward to hearing about its performance! And how will that RV-50 sound? Thanks very much for the list of upgrade part #s you posted on RunRyder recently, I'm going to order many of them.

I'm also curious how you got rid of the purple...looks like sandpaper or a jeweler's buffer? I'm much more of a bare-metal kind of guy than a garish out-of-place purple kind of guy...does anybody actually LIKE KSJ's purple? Bare silver is best, black is fine. Blue is tolerable. Beyond that...oof. Sadly, and despite my rant, my Ergo 46 is covered in gaudy purple upgrades.

Driven tail is standard via split main gear. This is the reason you cannot change the motor pinion as the optional ones are not stepped to take this into account. I was thinking about ordering one and have it stepped by my local machine shop - anyone got any thoughts on this ?

KSJ purple come off with the use of a fine wire brush in Dremel. I then had the part 'scratched' by my father who is a jeweller as that finished then matched the standard finish on the JR boom clamp upgrade. THe tail pitch lever was simply polished, as I was worried that scratching might remove too much material from and introduce some play.

The good thing about about having the stripped parts polished/scratched is that the finish is much more resistant to unsightly oxidation than a simple bare finish.

Looks good Carps, You will find the gearing right on the money with the IMZ RV-50. My Voyager IMZ / IMZ RV-50 is the smoothest most quiet heli I have seen and the power to weight ratio is incredible. You'll have an ear-to-ear grin after the test hop.
