Hello Folks:

I need some help with setting up or hooking up the GY401 Gyro with the 9C?

I'm having difficulty setting up the gyro to work in ACVS mode. Each time I power on the system and the Heli, the Gyro light just blinks slowly. According to the manual that means the Servo or something isn't functioning correctly.

If anyone can lend a hand, I'd really appreciate it.

Put the gyro mode on a switch. The first time you turn on the gyro you must be in normal mode (blinking light). I always turn my gyro on in HH (steady light), but you must wait about 3 sec before you can move the heli. If you move the heli before the 3 secs. you will have a blinking light which means that the gyro neutral position did not initialize. Either cycle power, or switch from HH to normal very rapidly 3 times. This will then save the current trim settings as the neutral position that is used with HH.

To clarify, the GY-401 has to be in HH mode *NOT* normal mode, as was incorrectly stated in a post above. If it is started in normal mode, it will blink, and will not stop blinking even if you flick the gyro switch 3 times, the only way to fix it is to cut power and turn power back on with the gyro in HH mode.
