| Well, no one wants their favorite helicopter to be discontinued, and I went off the deep end ...since no one wants to buy my SE's I guess i'll have to fly them. DAMN! Jeremy; as the the "Rumors" about the demise (or not, as the case may be) of the SE, those rumors came from the UK importer, a dealer in Europe and from the offices of Robbe itself! Everyone to the man said the SE would be kept in production! So it turns out that everyone else in the World was wrong and HUI was right. Maybe Robbe was just stalling to dump inventory on the market, a current production heli will sell much better than one thats been discontinued. Anyway; this weekend my wife asked a good question: "so if you sell these, what are you going to get?". So I looked long and hard on every forum I'm on (which is Wwaaayyy too many...) and looked at all the other designs on the market and realized that nothing even comes close to the SE in terms of design, robust construction and ease of maintaince. Checking the other manufacturers Q & A sections revealed bad T/R gears, cracked frames, parts wearing out too quickly, frame flex and tooth decay, and that was some of the small stuff...only the Robbe section had more Q & A to do with flying and set-up than the plaintive " my bearing holders in my XYZ heli wore out after 3 gallons of fuel" of most of the other groups. So I guess I need to suck it up, get a life and be happy I have the SE's, I will cease the WHINE and BITCH and get back to my 3 F ...I realized it could be worse, I could have owned a Kalt Alpha or a Century Ninja Pro Magnum Master MK II. At least I'll have Robbe producing parts... Chris ( I think I got a Grip...on what I have no idea...). |
