Hey guys i am trying to get an ion put together. I am asking all of you that have bought them about where to find them at the best price. I am going to have to get everything since this is my first electric heli. I have looking through Ricks and their prices are decent i guess. Any other websights that have everything i woudl need in one place?? - Lloyd

Same price everywhere

About $1350 for the Ion with motor and speed control.

Batteries (LiPo vs. NiCad) can vary.

cool. What about chargers? I have seen the astroflight 109 chargers, but dont the thunder packs contain 10 cells? The astroflight charger is only rated to charge 9 cells....-Lloyd

The ION uses two battery packs of 5 series 4 parallel so one astroflight 109 can charge one pack of 5 series cells.

I use two astroflights to charge both packs at the same at about 6-7 amps each. Both 109s are hooked up to a marine battery from costco.
This setup has been working great for me at the field.

Takes about 40 minutes to an hour to get up in the air again.
