Thats a very visable canopy. How is it holding up to vibration and fuel? What type of paint did you use?

Yes it gives the best visablity of any I have ever flown. also it's not paint its vinyl "spelling?" like whats used to make signs . It doesn't strach and the fuel has not had any effect on it.

Does it come in big sheets? Where can I find some?

Vinyl

It comes in 2 or 4 foot wide rolls and as long as you want. Try a sign shop, they have #'s colours and they will sell it by the foot. I think mine took about 1 1/2 feet "about $6". Also you can take them the original sheet of decals and they can copy them and cut them in what ever colour you like. the vinyl stays much better just be sure to put it down with a hair dryer.

Vinyl Sheets

Thats a neat idea. A lot lighter than paint I assume. I'm gonna check around and see if I can find some. Thanks

Color

I like the color choice, it looks good to me. What is the little loop on the tail?

Little loop on tail

It appears to be a tail rotor guard. The stock vertical tail fin in the Raptor kit is a little short and you can put the blades in the ground on a hard landing on the tail. I've known lots of guys who have done it. I've seen some use broken off plastic forks and chopsticks. I fly 3D so I put an X-Cell 3D fin on my Rappy which is much longer than the stock and looks good too. I never have to worry about digging in the tail though becuase I don't land it on the tail anymore, except in autorotations sometimes and with a driven tail it is good to protect my tail rotor from the ground.

Stinger

It's a "stinger" I made it out of a stylet and it does keep the tail out of the dirt. Check out my post in "beginners corner" for a closeup.

P.S. Thanks for the complements Chris Coker
