I just hit myself with my zoom. I was flying simple stuff like what I always do, but I just dumb thumbed it right into myself. barely broke the skin, but I feel really really dumb and now I have a helicopter to re build with a bruised ego and forearm
reminder. helicopters have things that spin around real fast and they hurt (or worse) when they hit you. I GOT LUCKY don't test your luck. be careful

flippin and dippin, flying tail to the ground, I fly my heli's like a rabid greyhound!!!

ouch, those electrics are easy to underestimate, however I have flown my hummingbird into myself at least 3 or 4 times, twice into my shin(one drew some blood), once into my forearm and another the back of my hand(trying to catch it in my hand). although they are nothing like their big brothers they still need to be taken seriously, I really worry about my little kitten getting curious and getting too close to the heli, so I always put him in my room, but still, a minor cut or bruise to us could really hurt a small cat or dog. anyway, enough rambling, I hope you recover, the ego will take longer than the arm though, I will tell you that, good luck and fly safe,

Mark

How close were you flying to yourselves?

Small is cute, right?

Well, that's what I was thinking when my Hoverfly was a couple of inches away from my face. I stared at the canopy, chuckled a good bit (what an idiot!) and screamed as I got bit 3-4 times by a prop tip, right on my nose!

Yes, it drew blood. Not much, just enough to scab up for 3-4 days, and to remind myself I acted like a moron when I looked at myself in the mirror.

The bigger the are, the more dangerous they are. But that doesn't mean not to be carefuly around the tiniest ones!

My heli spending has gone way down since I got a Honda 919 :-)

I got hit in the back with my hoverfly long time ago... flying in high wind (first mistake) and a gust took it and flipped it back towards me. Had time to turn around and start to drop, but wasn't fast enough. nailed me in the center of my back....

Felt more dumb and hurt pride than anything. Just some bruises thankfully....

I didn't keep that thing long. Deffinately need a tail rotor
