Is it a necessity to use a header tank in a futura SE if you are running a YS80?

Thanks

Yes..

It is used to get rid of any air bubbles out of the fuel berfore it hits the spray bar in the carb.

I've flown with one and flown without one and couldn't tell any difference from a full to empty tank ( this was after I put some good flexible fuel tubing in the tank!)...the only reason i use one is for more fuel capacity and to be able to see the fuel level and land before there is none! Chris

Due to the shape of the SE tank, you may get speed up at the botom of the tank. This happened to my YS80 a couple of times. I recommend using the header tank for that reason and the above comment make sense to me too!! Good luck.

If you want to know how much fuel you have left..
I think it is a NO BRAINER! With the design of the canopy.

Until next time.... Keep them rotors outta the dirt....
