| Why I'm Going CheapHey Lift! I'm still gonna try the OS 46. I know I'm taking a gamble here but that is what this heli is all about. OS claims that they fixed the carb on this model. We'll see! Gonna break it in carefully jon the bench, not something that I have typically done in the past, and take the break-in alittle longer than usual.
The Hitec's are also a gamble on my part. I've read the mixed reviews for these servos and some like em and some don't. I'll keep you's posted. For what it is worth I have been brought up on JR and I like them. However I have had three failures in the last year. Two throttle servos have stopped working: A JR517 and a JR 537. Both just went dead after hitting throttle hold during an auto. These failures may be due to high Frequency vibration that I had trouble finding but since cured. The other failure really was not a failure per say. It was a two year old 4131 that was used for collective and became sloppy at the top.
The servos on order now are two 5625's and one 5645 for the collective. All I believe are slightly above middle of the road as far as Hitec servos go. At $55 dollars each I will be saving almost $30.00 each. If they work out Great, if not, I won't do that again.
The Falcon SE VII itself as you put it is also a gamble. I am also tired of paying $150.00 to $200.00 every time my chopper goes down.
I am hoping(fingers crossed) that my gut feeling is right. That the quality of Cenury products is improving. If the Flacon works out, it will definitely be a steal of a deal. If they have it right, the public will definitely give them a second chance. Rick's RC Heli becoming a distributor most certainly is an Ace in the Hole!
