| For some reason I can't get the tail to run smoothly without hearing the gears grinding together. I've assembled and disassembled the gearbox and output shaft a half dozen times trying to adjust the gear mesh, and have removed the gearbox from the tailboom a half dozen times in order to adjust the input shaft in the gearbox. When I move the input shaft out from the gearbox even a half millimeter, I get rattling in the tail section as if something were loose inside. When I push the input shaft in further, the gears grind together and I hear that very audible buzzing as if the bevel gears are meshed together too closely. What the heck do I do from here? This is driving me up the wall. Anyone else have this problem?
(by the way, I'm aware that the instructions suggest that the position of the bevel gear on the output shaft can be adjusted from that tiny hole in the back of the gearbox, but mine would always bind for some reason). |
