Ok here is what you guys want to know.
When I was looking for my S76 about 5 years ago
Nobody had a kit to offer at that time either so
I know what you guys are going through.
I missed my calling when Peka and Heim/Robbe
had offered one years ago. I see that there is an
overwellming demand now. I figured as time
went on someone would have plugged one out in a kit
form. I guess I was wrong.
The body is an S76 A model. It is only the glass
work and windows. There is no wood work instuctions
plans or even a horizontail stabilizer with it.
The landing is also custom made by Chuck at
Robart but he is no longer there. You can try Eric there now.
The glass work doesn't have any body lines in
it for panels doors or hatches. All the locations
will have to be measured and cut or panel lines applied.
Every aspect of the body has to be scratch made
and desiged to fit the body to be strong and SAFE.
This is a very overwhelming and frustrating task to take on.
I don't recommend the average builder to take this on.
Even with the better builders you must be very carful
as it can be dangerous making and designing all the wood
formers and landing gear. The body is very narrow so it
limits you to a few types of mechanics.
Good luck I hope this helps and answers all of you questions.
If you don't have a copy of the MAY/JUNE 2001 Issue of
Rotory Modeler call Mike Mas for a copy.
My S76 is featured on the cover and inside story will
give you more information about the helicopter.
