Check out this paint job I just did on my Nexus 30!
None of this professional PU paint crap I went and got the cheapest Enamel spray paint and in 10min I had done this creation!
Very Easy and Verycheap, and if it don't turn out good just get a knife and scrape it off and start again.

Not Purple

its not purple it is actually Ocean Blue, I should of put more light on the model when i took the pictures so you can see better, it goes yellow ,blue, red. same for the tail fins.

I'm about 3.5hrs drive from Hamilton,3 if you go at 120-140!, I could ride the motor bike up and help ya sort it out when ya get it! (if mum lets me!!!)
I'll be in Hamilton in Febuary anyway competing in a Helicopter F3C competition, I'll give you more details about it when I get it and where they fly and maybe we can meet up at the comp and I might let you have a flight of mine!!!!!!

yaya.

That would be great thanks dude. To be honest, i have never actually seen a heli in competition, only a gas heli once or twice at our club, and a few at frankton model shop. Watchin you and everyone else in the pits ( if its possible) doing what you do would certainly be fun.

Thanks
Nathan

PS. do you have a cell phone dude?

Fliers in Hamilton

nexusnz and flyinBrick.
There are tonnes of excellent fliers in Hamilton. Infact, most of NZ's top fliers are there. Aaron Williams, Grant Clarke, Grant Finlay and Graeme Sonntag are all excellent fliers and are normally at the Hamilton flying field.
FlyinBrick, if you want your Raptor setup well, talk to these guys, they've certainly helped me out a lot.

OOOh

i used to be a member of the hamilton club.. i used to go all the time, but then 6th form got in the way.. and it seems like every time i go out to fly its too windy, or there is no one there and its just plain kinda boring if there is noone else there to chat to.

Im gettin my restricted licence.. when that comes around i will be free to go whenever i choose, should get way more flight time. ummn.. is there a seperate heli field in hamilton?.. Only flying site ive ever heard of in hamilton is Duncans field ( sorry if i spelt it wrong) or whatever..

if anyone here is in hamilton... and can help me out.. please e-mail me, or post back here.

Thanks
Nathan.

Brick,
Email Graeme Sonntag at renee.s@xtra.co.nz. He'll be able to help you.

You're going to start learning on a 60? I'd go with a 30 if I were you. Much cheaper to repair when you crash.

Hi Simon
Hows it goes
Iain Here I'm Nexusnz if you don't remember.
Thats my Nexus just after a paint job, hows your flying going?
The next fine day I'm gonna try a loop. I put Raptor paddles on it and it seems better.
You going to the nationals? Theres a very high chance I'll be there, So I'll see you there and I plan not to get last!

Hi Iain,
Good to hear about your progress. I've been getting into doing autos lately which has been good.
The trip down to Blenhiem was good fun, hopefully it'll happen again next year.
Yeah I'll be at the nationals, we're camping there with the other guys so it should be good. The CS won't be ready by then, so I'll use the Z230 for Clubman. I'm going to finish this year doing clubman as I'm currently second in it. Next round I'll be doing sportsman.

Darn NZ'rs

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous of you guys. Here it is in the Mid US, its barely hitting about 4 degrees C and we are freezing our cahoonahs off trying to fly. Oh how I wish Decembers were WARM like they are down where you guys are at. We have been lucky in getting warmer weather later in the year than usual, but the cold is setting in and it SUCKS! Any chance one of you guys could fly me down there until about March or so? hehehe Oh yeah, I guess I should probably post something relavant to the orginal post. Here is a Raptor 60 can'opea that I did for a friend here. Whatcha think?

Bell,
I'm not sure if you'd be jealous of our weather lately... It's been so bad I haven't flown in two weeks.
It was supposed to be crap today, but here's a pic I took looking out my living room window just now...

Ok, MAYBE I would not be jealous of the weather, however I AM jealous of the view!! Just Awesome. Whats the temp been like lately anyhow? Gotta be better than the 6 degree high here today. BTW, it looks REALLY crappy out there right now, I mean just absolutely awful. Dont think you should even go outside. hehe
