The DT 690 looks like a sweet blade. I just got 20 sets today and I can't wait to run a set on the Freya. Al, please afford me a little patience for I have trouble recommending products I haven't run yet myself. I feel responsible for anything I would recommend you would have trouble with. The DT blade is also so new that you just couldn't find experience anywhere but Todd and Demitry right now that I am aware of. But I will be able to give you the skinny with my experience soon.

Zooms...

Al,
We talked about these blades before. I can tell you that I have met and delt with both Scott and Eric directly. They are both straight shooters. If they say they have the fully symetricals on the shelf I am sure they do.
DON'T give up on those blades. You will find that once you get a set you won't want to change. I just pushed my 600's a little harder today (lot's of flips and loops even a couple of rolls(my first ones)) on the Sceadu and they worked flawless. They sounded sooo good!
I know you are not interested in the FAI blades, but I can tell you they are a really good blade if you can con the shop out of letting you test hop them you would find a plesant surprise. Really a fast blade and very responsive. Heck I would bolt them on for a test hope if you can just to see how they feel.
Scott is right about those blades they are very hard to get right now and TB has been doing lot's of work on them.
Hang in there they will be widely available soon I think.
Eric,
Let us all know how they work. I need to upgrade from the FAI's to the symetircals.

Scott &Eric(Zooms) and everyone, let me tell you my first impressions of the MAH DT690 blades. First off: I have a new Raptor 60, Os61wc, 30%CP and a set of the old Zigsaw white GP9's, 660mm. My top end pitch is 12º with a rich mixture. I run this set-up to test and tune and do some break-in. Four tanks through on Saturday. Got the MAHs Saturday from Zooms, and popped them on for today. The Zigsaws have always been a top auto perfomer. The MAHs beat the Zigsaw. The autos are very quiet, with lots of reserve. Our weather today was high 80's, 100% humidity, and no wind. These blades don't care! Flying around, they are extremely quiet and powerful. Also, they are easily pulling the 12º and they are 690mm. Anyone looking for a great set of blades, lock on to a set of these......BIG SMILES here.

I have been running the 685mm and 690mm MAH blades for a year now and love them. I just got a set of the 700mm double taper blades a couple weeks ago. So far they are the best blade I have flown to date. They are still very fast in the cyclics and have alot of power for huge moves.

They make alot less noise in the air then other blades at the feild and from all the crashes or tip overs I have seen they hold up just as good if not better as other blades do.

If you can get a set of MAH blades give them a try I am sure you will be happy with them.

Another Happy camper

Go get em!
I have a set of 685 and 605's. I will not fly anything else for a good carbon fiber blade. They are spendy here in the US, but worth it IMO.
Glad to see Zooms is stocking them. That will make getting them much easier than it has been
Thanks much Scott

MAH685 's autorotation

i took a large horiz. fin (FAI type) off my pro2 ! what a difference it did make !

same heli, same blades, hotter weather (supposed to be worse for flying) - like 100+F.

BUT - now heli can hover for 1-2 seconds before touch down !

i figured, that large horiz. fin was not helping a lot during flare phase of the auto. and piro auto (still learing'em) became a lot easier.

i am taking my concerns about MAH685's back.

GOOD BLADES.
