u asked about a gyro, if u mean for tail control, it shouldnt matter. the only thing i had to do to my oh-58d was put some larger tailblades on. the stock 30 blades couldnt handle the extra torque required to turn the four blades. now if u mean for use with the three bladed head, you really dont need one unless u really want to. if you do, i think only fore/aft is the only control axis that will need it for those windy days. i have flown the hirobo 3 bladed head with hirobo's blades on a twinstar i built for a buddy and it did great,even in the wind. i have the same head on a hirobo schweitzer 300 but with some old kalt enforcer blades that were lying around in my pile o stuff. it does well too. email me at copterdoctor2002@aol.com and i will send pics.....
