I flew a Caliber 30 ARF with the OS32 and muffler at the field yesterday and what a great little heli it is! Nice and smooth and the engine just purred!

The owner only had 3001 servos in it and a GY240 with a nasty Hitec 605 in it so the tail REALLY SUCKED and I didn't want to try any stall turns, but loops were fine. He's going to put his 401/9253 combo on it and that should make it much better.

In high winds the little sucker got blown about a bit, but wasn't too bad.

One thing that REALLY SUCKS about this heli is the canopy. It covers EVERYTHING! It's a bit of a mission to get the canopy off cause there's fuel fillers and crap like that on it. Plus it's hard to get a look at things like throttle linkages and stuff while it's on.

Other wise I reckon it's a very nice heli for the money!

Yepp couldnt agree more with the canopy thoughts.
Some other Cal30 flyer drilled a small hole in the canopy and put a hex screw in the needle so its a bit easier to adjust, and he also put on some 3way "fuel filler" at the end of the main frame. Looked quite good.
I´ll try the same on mine!

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

Drilled a hole for needle

I drilled a hole for the main needle - but I havent fitted any screw to needle yet. I drilled the hole with a the Canopy mounting hole as a reference - It went oki! Not much to take a picture of

Bummer, Jason. Sorry to hear it. Ya got nuts, trying nose-in for real the first time in all that wind.

Thanks again for letting me fly it, though. Tobe and I both liked it.

Sorry about your crash. I should have my caliber 30 in the air sometime soon. What is everyone using for radios on thiers? I am going to be using an 8uh and might need some help setting it up.

Caliber

When I was trying nose-in the wind had stop. The first two times was fine, but the third time it was like slow motion the ground reached up and smack the poor heli, never had a chance.
