Hi !

Has anyone tried to bail out of an auto with the ION ?
The manual strongly advise against doing so, but if the motor has stopped, before you flip out of thr. hold, should this then really be a problem ?
Will the ESC then make a soft start, or is this the real problem ??

I've been playing with this some. You can bail-out, you just need to give it time to build some HS back up, so not something I would try close to the ground.

If you ease some positive collective into it after hitting the switch seems to stop the descent, add some load, and no other negative effects in terms of torque, etc.

Ja - det jeg. Det er vigtigt at motoren er HELT stoppet inden, for ellers er der ingen soft-start - og det siger SLAM !

Men er motoren helt stoppet er det kun et spørgsmål om tålmodighed - med andre ord: HVIS du har behov for det - så beslut dig lidt tidligere end med en brændstofheli - så du rent faktisk HAR tid til at vente på at soft-start giver nogle omdrejninger der kan bruges til noget...

you can set HOLD to have a little throttle input....that way, when you bail, its already going a little and it won't screw things up, won't soft start, and you will be OK. I have not set mine up like this yet...but plan to.

If it doesn't soft start, you need to do _something_ to keep it from going to full throttle when you bail. If you don't, plan on replacing a layshaft gear at the very least.

If you have a throttle hold delay function on your TX, you might want to give that a whirl.
