Will PCM act all jumpy if failsafe is NOT activated if it was to get an interferince? My Fury on PCM had acted like it got hit on PPM radio yesterday and was wondering if if PCM would act this way if hit.

PCM will go into hold when it loses the signal. Hold means the servos are held at their last position.

If the receiver is going in and out of hold, the model will jump all over the place if you are moving the sticks around. The servos are jumping to wherever you have the sticks every time a good signal is received.

Failsafe will only engage after being in hold for a second or so.

You should be setting failsafe for throttle to go to idle, at least. The other channels are probably best left in hold for a helicopter.

Found the prob.

well i found the problem. i checked the battery after that one, six minute flight, and it was at marginal capacity. so i plugged it back into the machine, range checked, and after five to ten minutes of being on, the volts droppped to 3.5. i then checked every cell, wala, one cell was shot. $40 pack caused $350 in damage. have to love it.

failsafe

i did not know that. i belive i will be setting that up now. im not to crazy about getting locked out when failsafe gets activated. is there a way to activate the bat. failsafe only on my futaba?

Failsafe doesn't lock you out. If and when the reciever gets a good signal, it starts working again emmediatly. Set the failsafe on throttle to go to idle, it may save you a heli one day.
