Beginners Corner > Glueing Question for a newbie

I'm almost done in the building phase. One quick newbie question. The fly paddles are in two peices. I'm assuming so that I can add weight. Is adding weight recommended for a newbie? If so, what can I use for weight? Also Should I glue the paddles together? If so, what kind of glue should I use? I have 30 min epoxy and CA glue. Also since we are talking about glueing, I need to glue on my blade roots. Is 30 min epoxy ok for that or should I use something else. Thanks for the help!

What Helicopter? The simplest way to ad weight is with wheel collars as they let you slide them in and out to get the handling you like. Adding weight slows response rate.

I have the Raptor 60 V2. Sorry I didn't provide this earlier. So weight slows the reaction a bit. That makes since. Is it recommended that a newbie add weight, or should I just see how it goes without the weight? I'm assuming at this point, weight or no weight, I will need to glue the paddles together, and I still have yet to glue my blade roots. I need to know what glue I need to do this. I have both CA glue and 30 min epoxy. Thanks for the help.

First soak roots in thin CA, then when good and dry, epoxy the grips on.....works for me.

I'm not familiar with the raptor. On my hawk IV they are 1 piece each so no gluing, just screw on for me. Maybe a raptor owner will answer you

Not sure about gluing Raptor 60 paddles. However if you think about it, you will not be able to get them apart and change the weight you added if you glue em together.

Yeah, I thought about that. Once they are glued, and I decided I wanted to add weight later, I would probably have to buy new paddles as it would be impossible to get them apart. Any Raptor 60 owner out there have any advice?
