There is a web address: genesishobbys.com or it was genesishobbies.com but none of them work.

It's pretty much the same heli as a JR Venture 50, except it has the fuel tank in back, instead of ahead like the JR version.

I would say its a Robbe Ornith.

They are not made in Germany like others in their range.

The price looks very good. I want to see the spare parts price.

And YES, is a Robbe Ornith. You can check the Robbe Forum here at Run Ryder for more info.

If its the same at the ornith.... which is really close to JR's venture...

What a bunch of crap!

I had an ornith I brought home form the Toledo show.. after looking it over.. I GAVE it to another robbe pilot.... Then he GAVE it to another robbe pilot... And now its just sitting somewhere on a shelf with no electronics or engine in it..

Ornith 50 Problems...

Can not swing 600 mm blades...
Can not change gearing for proper 50 engine rpm....(8.9 I believe)

I would think that this machine would be good for a TT39 engine, mabe an inexpensive os 46.

I would stick with a proven good flyer like the raptor 50, or the hirbo evo If I was to suggest a machine to someone over the ornith

There are dozens of different brand helis out there that in the US never seen the main stream.

but yea.... I seen szabo 3d a little piccilo too! so I guess it can 3d out of the box!

Hitch-Hiker is absolutely right, Robbe really went down hill with the Ornith, its a crappy model (low quality, design copied from JR and Hirobo, bad gearing for 50, short boom, and a spindle 1mm smaller in OD then the dampners ID, HUH ?! )
anyway this Robbe Ornith \ Tiger 50 \ Hyundai 30 is jut one insane OEM manufacturer who dares to sell his crappy heli to several companies with different decals.
amazing, i dont know how Robbe doesnt throw that thing out of the house, its not doing any good for their rep of building quality machines.

Is there is a posibility that the Tiger 50 comes with better gearing and they have correct all the problems experienced on the Ornith???
Or this heli is exactly a copycat or the Ornith with the same problems???

Without seeing it, and just by knowing a little about the market im willing to bet its the EXACT copy of the machine, with the same gear and boom.
i could be wrong of course, but i would bet its the same !
somewhere (probably in te far east) there's an OEM manufacturer thats selling thse kits to several companies with different decals and different names, its redicolous.

I3DM,,

You are making alot of assumptions for a Heli you know >nothing< about.

I looked at the instructions that are on that website in Flordia...

Who are they? Half the website in not active and the only model they have is the tiger 50.

Anyway, the instructions appear to be carbon copies of the ornith and even list the gearing as the 8.9 I mentioned earlier.

If this is supposed to be a "new" "better" 3d heli in the 50 size market that already has the R50 and Evo... they should have done their homework.

ID3M... Robbe did not make the ornith, they were only marketing it as theirs... I think there is reason the ornith never made it into the us market all this time.

You would think, they could at least use a diffrent angle of the same heli. That would at least mask the fact it is only a copy.
