This is the first scale heli I've ever hovered. Hovered because I haven't flown it yet!

I just got it together late yesterday. I picked this up from Scott MacMurray, A new buddy in N.W. FL. It was painted already. Nice job Scott!
I have the Mechanics in it from my UNfinished Century 222. both heli's have the same Hawk III guts.

Better pics to follow.

Funny You should ask!

I have my seven and 4 others that belong to friends in the shop now and I only have a small trail thru the floor to get around with.
If I could get the wife to remove her junk from HER side of the Garage/Shop, I could double my room!

Looks great...

Nolan,
Nice looking A109. I have the same setup that I am going to start work on as soon as the pod and boom flys well.
What engine/muffler are you using and what fuel.
I would love to hear about the flight performance and any tips you have.
I too am going to build a Medevac in close to the same color scheme. The local Air transport company uses a similar style.
I am going to go all out and put retracts in though. Copter Docter has a set in one of his and he is going to send me some specs whe he gets a minute.

Now that's one nice Scale!!!

What a great paint job!! If I have to say so myself.... Nolan, ya did a great job getting her in the air. Where I failed you came through. I still have done nothing to the Raptor and have yet to complete the Fury Extreme. With school now out maybe I can get some flying and building in. Thanks for the trade and I hope you enjoy the Augsta 109. What did Emeal think of the Scale job? Green with envy I hope.

HEY SCOTT!

Yea BABY! It's a great Paint job YOU did to it. I'm very proud of it.
Emile was VERY impressed with it. Maybe a little jealous.........as if he needs another scale
Tomorrow we take it to the Airfield and give it a good ringing out.

Jason, It has the scale century muffler and an new OS 32 engine. I'm running 15% Cool Power and it seems like it'll be fine judging from the hover.
The 109 of Copter Doctor is sitting in my shop right now. He is a heck of a craftsman with making his own modifications.

Uh DUH!

Nolan,
Yeah I was just reading the post's and realized you were in the same location.
If you get a bit of time shoot me some pics of those retracts and maybe some insight as to how to do them with the Hawk mechs.

The 109 will be my first scale and I need all the help I can get. I want it to be a nice flyer and still look good.

I am going to go with the 32 also I think. I feel it will give the best scale type flight. A little underpowered so no real hotdog stuff and very smooth transitions from hover to FF and back.

Hey how hard do you think it would be to flip the tail rotor over? Just a thought I am sure it will be WAY more work than it is worth, but the full scale has the tail rotor on the left side.

Keep in touch with how it works.

Hmmm....

Those help. I think Emile had actually e-mailed those too me once.

Now if I am looking at that right he has 4 servos running the gear?
One for each wheel and one for the door?
I take it he used a y harness to get them to synch?

Thanks Tim!!! It's amazing how much the PUCKER Factor goes up on a scale heli. It flew a lot better than I did today, but all is well.

NO problem with the boss on painting the driveway. My flying buddies did it with out me knowing till I came home from my Birthday dinner.
She love's suprises unless it's under the covers. uuhh HEHE

No rush....

Emile,
No rush like I said. I am still trying to get the pod and boom to fly!
I just sold the 4 stroke and am ordering an OS 32 for it this week.
I give up on 4 stroke helis!
Besides from the pictures I think I have it figured out just need to do some sketching and looking at the Hawk mechs. I just needed to see how you got the doors to open a little better.
